Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkmen wool area rug. The rug features a restrained abrash palette of charcoal. espresso, navy, ivory, black, and persimmon. The field is infilled with a mina khani style pattern of hexagons and lobed flowers in combination with serrate and hooked designs. The multiple border bands include running dog , split leaf, quatrefoil, and serrate motifs. The selvedges have been overcast and there is wool fringe at each end. Unmarked.
