Item Details

An antique tiger maple document box with a later interior and base. The dovetailed box features a rectangular, hinged lid opening to a fitted, partitioned interior. It rises on a spurred, bracket base.

Condition

- interior partitions, support chain, and base are later; box with some light shrinkage cracks and a couple small chips; retains interior lock mechanism but missing hasp and key; lid slightly warped; light oxidation/rust to hinges; other minor surface wear as would be expected with age and use.
