Antique Miniature Georgian Style Chest, Late 19th to Early 20th Century
Item Details
An antique miniature Georgian style chest, late 19th to early 20th century. The mahogany case features a rectangular top with a three-quarter gallery and ovolo, front corners. Directly below are two stacked, dovetailed drawers with wooden knobs and inset, brass escutcheons flanked by a pair of fluted, colonnettes. The interior lock mechanisms are marked ‘Hobbs London / Machine Made Lever’ and the chest rises on a conforming, molded base.

- some small/minor scratches and nicks as would be expected with age and use; one drawer interior with a couple of stains; top gallery with some old glue residue at back, left joint.
