An antique parquetry dresser box with a eight-point star inlay, 19th century. The veneered, mixed wood box features a rectangular, hinged lid centered by an inlaid star motif with blocked corners and beaded edges. It opens to a vacant, mirrored interior and the exterior, front panel is decorated with a bookmatched, burl-veneered panel just below the escutcheon.

Condition

- scattered scratches and marks; some veneer cracks and chips; mirror with some silvering losses; retains interior lock mechanism but missing key; missing interior tray.
