An antique inlaid sewing box with burled panels, late 19th century. The veneered, mixed wood case features a rectangular, hinged lid with molded, ebonized edges opening to a mirrored interior with a removable, four-compartment tray. It rises on disc feet with base molding and the box comes with a working key to the interior lock mechanism. Also included is a pin cushion, thread spools, and a variety of needles and straight pins.
