Item Details
An antique French oak wall clock by H. Riondet, late 19th century. The case features a molded balustrade with urn-shaped spindles flanked by a pair of turned finials above a gadrooned cornice. Directly below is a round dial with enameled, Roman numeral markers and pierced, brass hands flanked by turned colonnettes over a strip of floral- and foliate-carved base molding and a scrolled pendant. The dial is marked ‘Comptoir Général / H. Riondet / 9 Bd Poissonnière Paris’ and the hinged front panel opens to reveal a brass movement. The clock comes with a winding key and a pendulum. The pendulum is stamped ‘8051 / BTE / S.G.D.G.’

- clock is untested; some light scratches and marks to sides of case; a few tiny chips to turned elements; enamel dial markers are slightly loose with some light cracks; “III” marker with repairs and overpainting.
