An original 2018 mixed media painting on board titled Mad Cow by Florida artist Jay Jimenez. This Neo-Expressionist outsider painting utilizes a mix of acrylics, marker and colored pencil to depict a horned cow viewed in profile with a human arm raised before it. The work is rendered through energetic black line work layered over expressive brushwork on a colorful painterly background. The words ‘Mad Cow’ are written in black to the upper left and the numerals 456 and the words ‘Hero Love True’ are written to the lower right. Another series of numbers is written in white along the left edge. This piece work is signed to the lower right and is signed and dated to the verso. The wood panel has painted sides and is ready to hang with a sawtooth bracket.
