Vintage Miniature Pine Chest with Antique Wrought Iron Hardware

Item Details

A vintage miniature pine chest with antique wrought iron hardware. The dovetailed chest features a rectangular, hinged lid with lateral, drop moldings opening to a vacant interior. The exterior is mounted with wrought iron hardware dating to the 18th or 19th century. There are swing handles on each side while the front has a shaped lock plate with a latch. The chest rises on a molded base and it comes with a key.

Condition

- to fair; antique hardware has been mounted to a later, probably custom-made chest; some oxidation/light rust and pitting to hardware; lock comes with a key and it worked when tested.
