A watercolor painting on paper after The Governor’s Bodyguard by artist Major Alfred Crowdy ‘A.C.’ Lovett (1862-1919). This piece depicts the figure, a member of the Indian army, in red, a flag in one hand and a manicured beard on his face. The carefully-rendered painting is double-matted under glass in a gold tone frame and has a hanging wire to its verso.
