William IV Mahogany Bidet Stand

A vintage William IV mahogany bidet stand. The stand has a high, rectangular lid with a beaded bottom edge, and it lifts up to reveal a white kidney-shaped china chamber pot, which rests nearly flush within the base, on a ledge with cut-outs at two sides to lift it out. The stand rests on straight turned legs with peg feet, and there are no maker’s marks.

Condition

- wood has surface patina with some dings, marks and wear; structurally sound; china chamber pot has surface marks, scratches, some discoloration to underside
