A collection of vintage magic lantern slides. These rectangular glass plates are made to fit the optical viewing projector machine commonly referred to as a ‘magic lantern,’ popularly used from the 17th to mid 20th century. The slides depict images from the book Medical Caricatures by Thomas Rowlandson.
