A charcoal and watercolor drawing of a street scene on paper by an artist signing the work ‘D. G. Cleland.’ This work depicts a group of men reading a notice that has been pasted on a brick wall, a line of homes and leafless trees looming over them from the wall’s opposite side. This carefully-rendered piece is signed to its lower right and is matted under glass in a slim wooden frame with a wire for hanging.

Condition

- some discoloration to paper, disguised by the use of brown watercolor; discoloration, water damage, and warping to mat; gapping to frame corners; wear throughout frame and verso.
