Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian area rug. This wool rug offers an all-over herati pattern with outlines of polygons in alternating colors. It is rendered in ivory, honey, caramel navy and powder blue. Framing the field are floral meander and barber pole guards which flank a minor border containing floral filled cartouches and a main samovar border in the field colors. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with a kilim skirt and ivory warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
