Primarily known for her watercolors, Doris White was based in Wisconsin and studied at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee. She continued her studies at the University of Berne in Switzerland and later completed a degree at the Art Institute of Chicago. She was recognized as a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and her work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the the Museum of Wisconsin Art, the Milwaukee Art Center, and the Missouri Art Museum, among others.
