Item Details
A 19th century Waterbury Clock Co. steeple mantel clock. The clock is circa 1850 and features a walnut and select hardwood case with a steeple design and spire finials. Other features of the clock include a two-tiered glass front door with a reverse painted image on the lower door that displays a goldtone framed image of a landscape in rich colors of green and blue against a black backdrop. The top panel displays a silvertone metal bezel surrounding a white metal face with black Roman numerals and contemporary style black hands. The clock has a brass pendulum and a 31 day, weight driven chime movement and the clock stands on a plinth style wood base. The clock has the ‘Waterbury Clock Company’ logo on the face.
