A mid to late 20th-century enamel painting on copper plate by listed enamel artist Charles Parthesius (American, 1921 – 1997). The Impressionist-inspired work depicts a winter landscape scene with a red barn to the center, set against a backdrop of blue skies, evergreen forests and distant snow-covered mountains. The piece is signed ‘Parthesius’ by hand to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- minor discoloration visible to plate verso; wear and finish loss throughout frame.
