A hand-colored engraving by after a drawing titled ‘Natural Bridge, Virginia’ by William Henry Bartlet (1809- 1854) and engraved by James Charles Armytage (1802-1897). This print depicts an explorer dressed in green standing beneath the natural bridge and looking through it to the mountainous view. It is titled in print. This print is presented under a blue mat under acrylic in a gold tone gesso frame.

Condition

- nicks and wear to the edges of the frame; cracks and nicks to the face of the frame; glass could benefit from a cleaning; discoloration to the edges of the paper; to the verso, rips and staining to the protective backing
