A lithograph on paper after an illustration featuring the 1980 U.S. hockey team by Paul Conrad, signed and dedicated by U.S. Olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks (1937-2003) to Walter Bush, Jr. Based off Joe Rosenthal’s iconic photograph Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima (1945), the print is copyrighted by the Los Angeles Times and features the artist’s facsimile signature to the lower right. A handwritten dedication by Herb Brooks to the lower center reads ‘Walter – / Your leadership / helped make this / come true / Regards – / Herb Brooks’. The work is double-matted, presented under glass, and housed in a wood frame with a light finish.
