Pair of Antique KPM Porcelain Bowls with Classical Figures
Item Details
A pair of antique porcelain bowls by Krister Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) of Germany. Each vessel is relief molded with three pierced foliate clusters to the rim. They are decorated with a classical male or female bust to the well, framed by a gilt medallion. Each piece is finished with a cream band and gilt trim. They bear a blue underglaze rod and KPM mark to the base, dated c. 1831-1895.
Condition
- various wear to gilt trim and decoration; several flea bite imperfections to glaze; minor marks and faint scratches.
