Basker was a regional Indiana artist known for his rural scenes and Lake Michigan landscapes. Largely self taught, Basker’s works became defined by his delicate use of line and clouded shadows. Today, his works are housed in numerous private and public collections, including the Indiana University Art Museum, the Detroit Museum of Art, and the Montreal Museum of Art.

- minor scuffing and scratching to the finish on the frame; minor discoloration and foxing to the matting.
