Antique Doulton Lambeth Stilton or Cheese Dome with Wood Base
Item Details
An antique Doulton Lambeth Stilton or cheese dome, circa 1900. The dome is dark brown and color and features a beautifully rendered sprig application of texture having a delicate foliate motif over a faux reptile and lace embossed texture on the dark clay beneath. The fitted dome rests on a replacement wooden base. It is stamped on the inside of the dome with the Doulton Lambeth stamp and ’Slater’s Patent’ with stamped and incised production information.
