Item Details
A hand-knotted Ind-Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz carpet runner. This wool rug offers three large geometric floral medallions over a rich scarlet red field. It is filled with floral vines having palemette and quatrefoil floral elements rendered in pale blue, salmon, fern, indigo and plum with a crenelated trim at the verge. Framing the field is a stylized herati pattern over onyx. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with a kilim skirt and ivory cotton fringe at either end. It is unlabeled.
