Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mashhad area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of cranberry, lime, midnight blue, cream, cerulean, pink, dove gray, and sky blue. It has a scalloped diamond shaped central medallion on an oval lozenge patterned with curling branches of leaves and delicate flowers. It is framed with double carnation meander guard borders and a herati pattern main border. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
