Vintage Uncle Sam Cast Iron Mechanical Coin Bank

Item Details

A vintage Uncle Sam cast iron mechanical coin bank. This mechanical bank works by putting the coin in Uncle Sam’s hand and pushing the lever; the hand releases the coin and the bag marked U.S. opens to accept it. This piece has no visible makers marks. The cover for the coin-access hole on the underside appears to need a key or tool to open it.

- untested. Chips and wear to paint. Some residue on piece.
