1936 Ideal "Suzette" Rubber Doll and American Character "Sally" Composition Doll
Item Details
A group of vintage rubber and composition dolls. This selection includes a 1936 Ideal Suzette doll with a brown mohair wig, sleep eyes with real lashes, and parted red lips that reveal two teeth. Her jointed body is comprised of hard rubber and is embossed with ‘Ideal Doll W 16’ on the back of the head. Also offered is a circa 1930s American Character Sally doll topped with a short molded bob with short bangs parted slightly off center, green sleep eyes with real lashes, and pursed red lips. Her jointed composition body does not bear a visible maker’s mark. Additionally, a circa 1930s composition and cloth doll featuring molded red hair with a ribbon hole, sleep eyes with painted lashes, and a pink floral dress with white shoes. A maker’s mark was not visible.
