A power loomed, inscribed Mashhad-style wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of salmon, deep indigo, sage, mauve, slate blue, gold, wine, sand, and pine. The deep salmon hued field begins with a bold over-sized central design of palmettes and cloud bands, latticed with leafy and flowering vines, blossoms, along with more palmettes and cloud band forms. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border grounded in indigo that has monograms to each corner. ‘A / S / K’, guarded by box and flower meander borders, as well as laleh abbasi minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled to the underside.
