An antique W.H. Grindley & Co. Daffodil ironstone tureen and platter, circa 1880-1891. The tureen displays a rectangular body with rounded edges with short, linear handles having a bamboo motif. The matching platter has a rectangular shape with rounded edges and a slightly flared edge. Each piece displays a brown transfer-printed pattern of a countryside estate in the background with daffodils in the foreground and a repeated daffodil banner around the edges. The pieces are marked ‘Daffodil W.H. Grindley & Co. Tunstall.’
