A hand-knotted Kurdish wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a bold palette of madder red, indigo, clementine, emerald, wine, and ivory. The madder red field features six memling guls along with hexagonal forms, rosettes, diamonds, and chained elements to the edges. Framing the field is a rosette and picket patterned border, and it finishes with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled to the underside.
