A hand-knotted Persian Bakshaish Heriz round wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of slate, sepia, ivory, powder blue, celadon, and olive. The slate colored field begins with a star shaped medallion surrounded by geometrically shaped flowering vines. Framing the field is a main samovar border, along with a pair of meandering floral guard borders. Finishing this rug is an overcast edge with ivory cotton knotted fringe. Unlabeled.
