Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, ivory, sky blue, indigo, rose, sand, mocha, fern, and slate. The scarlet colored field begins with an ornately designed diamond pendant medallion radiating with floral sprays, and coordinating spandrels. The field also features an abundance of floral sprays, and bouquets swirling throughout. Framing the field is a herati pattern to the main, and guard borders, along with four carnation meander minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
