A mixed media painting on paper titled B&O Railroad by American artist Miguel de la Fuente. This piece uses oil paint, stucco Veneziano, and shellac on gessoed paper to depict a non-objective composition in a palette of indigo, golden yellow, scarlet, and rust. It features a texture of scratched and painted lines that bleed overlapping colors throughout the field. It is unsigned and has a printed label to the verso. This work is presented unframed in a protective plastic sleeve.
Cuban-born Miguel Lino de la Fuente is an abstract impressionist painter and printmaker whose art is held in the collections of several major institutions including the Brooklyn HIstorical Society, Brooklyn Museum,The Montclair Art Museum, The New York Public Library and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He studied at Art Students League of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), The New School (NYC) and Brooklyn College and has been widely exhibited at galleries across the United States.
