Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of garnet, peach, mocha, charcoal, teal and camel. It begins with a small Qashqai medallion in mocha and peach, positioned between two vertically oriented, blossoming tree of life motifs on a garnet field. In each corner of the field is a medallion of the same design. Populating the field is a constellation of tribal motifs, symbols and inscriptions, including four-legged animals, birds, palmettes, trees, pinwheels and geometric rosettes. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
