A 19th-century watercolor painting on paper of a European landscape, signed ‘C.L.O.’ and dated 1880. This work features a hilly European landscape with a river winding through. Some townspeople meander throughout the scene, dwarfed by the vast landscape, and a Medieval cathedral is situated in the middle-ground. The painting is signed and dated ‘Aug. 31/80’ to the lower right. The composition is presented under glass with gold-tone matting, and housed in a gold-tone wood frame.

- to fair; faint brown drip stains throughout painting; small spots of accretion scattered throughout painting; minor foxing scattered throughout painting; stains and residue throughout mat; small chips, stains, and finish loss scattered throughout frame.
