A Ndebele style figure from South Africa. This doll features traditional attire and woven bead-work to the face, head, accessories, skirt and ankles in colorful and intricate geometric patterns. The piece has gold tone neck rings, silver wire wrapped legs with a leather skirt, and fabric covered block feet. It is draped in a colorful wool shawl with intricate woven seed bead accents. There are no apparent maker’s marks.

- some dust and accretion; material appears to be detaching from feet.
