Antique Two Horse Drawn Cast Iron Ladder Wagon

Item Details

An antique cast iron ladder wagon designed with two black horses pulling two seated drivers (two different styles) and two wooden replacement ladders with a yellow painted finish. The carriage has a natural metal finish with the spoked wheels having a light yellow painted finish. The toy separates in two main pieces with the drivers, ladders and ladder brackets also removable. Circa 1900. The wagon has an incised ‘460’ to the undercarriage and ‘401’ to the ladder brackets.

Condition

- fair with some paint loss throughout. The seated fireman figures do not match each other.
