A pair of Ndebele style figures from South Africa. These dolls feature traditional attire and woven bead-work to the face, head, accessories, skirt and ankles in colorful and intricate geometric patterns. Each figure has gold tone neck rings, silver wire wrapped legs and a leather skirt, with fabric covered block feet. They are draped in colorful wool shawls with intricate woven seed bead accents. There are no apparent maker’s marks.
