Henry William Stiegel Style Hand Blown Glass Pocket Bottles

A six piece collection of hand blown glass pocket bottles from the Museum of Modern Art in the style of Henry William Stiegel. Included are three vessels in amberina, cobalt, and emerald, each with a light quilted motif. They are accompanied by a ribbed teal bottle and amethyst vessel with light optic swirl. A yellow bottle with a quilted floral motif is also included. Each bears a rough pontil mark to the base with an incised or acid etched mark: ‘MMA.’ A pairing of cobalt glass bottles are also included. Henry Stiegel produced pattern-molded blown glass bottles during the mid 18th century at the American Flint Glass Manufactory.

Condition

- spots of wear and tarnish to metal components on two small vessels; minor marks and faint scratches.
