A pair of oil paintings on burlap of architecture by German artist Ernest O. Mondorf. These two paintings depict European style architecture starkly illuminated, casting dark shadows. These buildings, some of which feature domed watch towers, while others include a finial roof, are clustered on a body of water or viewed from a darkened alleyway. To the lower left corner are painted artist signatures. The paintings are wrapped over wooden stretchers with hanging wire and handwritten inscriptions denoting the artist to the verso.

- paint marks and wear to the edges of the burlap; chipping and wear to the edges of the painting; bowing to the center of the largest item; scratch to the left of the largest image; chipping to the surface of the largest item; scratch to the center of the smallest item; to the verso of each item, wear and fraying to the burlap.
