A still life ballpoint pen drawing by Li Fu. This drawing depicts a naturalistically styled still life of crumpled paper and an assortment of apples. This piece is signed to the lower right corner of the picture plane ‘Fu LI Vivian James 1-15-2014’ and ‘Vivian James 1-15-2014’ to the verso. The work is presented unframed.
Born in 1968, Li Fu is the daughter of acclaimed photographer Chunfang Fu (pen name: Dong Fu) and spent 30 years herself as the personal photographer to artist Wu Guanzhong. Her career has also seen her serve 5 years as an art instructor and as an art writer for multiple Chinese publications, including the Huron Report magazine. Fu is known both for her oils and acrylics, as well as her ballpoint pen and pencil drawings.
