A copper reproduction sculpture titled Wind after English sculptor Cecil Thomas (1885-1976). This piece depicts a nude boy standing proudly, hands on his hips and hair being blown back. He stands on a circular base wit a wave crashing beneath his feet. The title of the piece is presented to the front on the base, and the work is signed in-mold near the boy’s feet. There are no apparent foundry marks.
Condition
- to Fair; wear to surface of face, lower torso, edges of top of base; throughout verso of hair, elbows, and lower torso; oxidation under base.
