An oil painting on panel created circa 1928 by artist V. Hartnack (Danish, born 1895). The Impressionist-style piece depicts a country path winding among rolling green fields, trees and greenery, under a covering of hazy blue skies. The work is initialed ‘VH’ in orange paint to the lower right, with the artist’s name written by an unknown hand to a tag adhered to the board verso. The painting is presented without glass in a wooden frame with white finish, fitted with hanging string to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; edge wear to panel with media loss; small marks and discoloration to composition; nicks, cracks, wear and scratches throughout frame; no backing paper present.
