A 1964 oil painting on canvas. The piece depicts a Modernist abstracted cityscape, rendered in short expressive strokes of bright autumnal hues. To the center of the work, a bridge with arched openings spans a glassy tree-lined river against a backdrop of small houses. The piece is dated and signed in black paint to the lower right, appearing to read ‘Sunidal 64’; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging string to the verso.

Condition

- toning and discoloration throughout composition; wear with media loss to edges; stains to frame liner; wear, scuffs and nicks to frame; no backing paper present.
