A 1909 landscape oil painting on canvas signed ‘V.C.’. The piece depicts a bucolic park-like setting, with a white goose swimming in the reflective waters of a lake lined with lush trees, colorful wildflowers and green foliage. The work is signed ‘VC 1909’ in green paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish, and marked with an early 20th-century Danish framer’s sticker to the verso.

- to poor; puncture and media loss to canvas at lower left; craquelure scattered throughout painting; wear and media loss along edges of composition; uneven toning, stains and discoloration to painting; scuffs, cracks, chips, accretion and stains throughout frame; discoloration and wear to canvas verso; no backing paper present; hanging string is broken.
