Antique Rococo German Pewter Coffee Pot by Johann Georg Neeff
Item Details
An antique German pewter coffee pot in the Rococo style by Johann Georg Neeff. The eighteenth century coffee pot features a hinged lid, braided wicker wrapped curvacious handle and swirling motif. The spout has an applied shell motif and the pot is engraved on the base with owner’s initials, ‘G.H.’ It has Neeff’s touchmark inside pot on the base. Neeff is a maker from Frankfort, Germany prominent in the 1700s. This pewter pot coordinates with others of graduated sizes at items 18COL033-072 through 18COL033-076.
