A Whiting Manufacturing Company King Albert sterling silver monogrammed flatware and serveware set. The King Albert pattern was originally designed in 1919 and features a beaded edge and tulip-shaped finial to the interior on the handle with ‘T’ monogrammed to the handle. This set includes: twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twelve teaspoons, twelve blunt hollow handle knives with bolsters and stainless blades, and three tablespoons. This set features child’s utensils which includes a fork, spoon, and knife with stainless steel blade, marked ‘Mary’ to the handles. Also included are six orange/fruit spoons, one gravy ladle, one large cucumber/tomato pierced serving spoon, one master butter spreader knife, one pair of tongs, and one sugar spoon. Some pieces are marked for Gorham in this set. This collection also includes a Naken flatware chest with tarnish proof red wine-colored cloth interior with a hinged lid. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives and child’s knife, is 50.921 ozt.
