A collection of mineral and rock specimens. This collection of eight mineral and rock specimens features a specimen of the calcium sulfate mineral gypsum that displays the desert rose crystal habit with intergrown lenticular crystals grouped in a rosette form with sand grains included indicating formation in an evaporitic setting. Also included is a specimen of the volcanic glass obsidian, eggs fashioned from the alabaster variety of gypsum and the metamorphic rock marble and more.
