An oil painting on canvas of a pastoral scene by well-listed Dutch artists Frans LeBret (1820-1909) and Jan Portielje (1829-1908). This painting depicts a pastoral scene with a woman and boy tending to their flock of sheep. The scene is rendered in a picturesque manner under a cloudy blue sky with rolling hills in the background. This piece is signed by both artists to the lower right corner. An inscription by LeBret on the canvas verso states this piece was done in collaboration with Portielje. The work is presented without glass in a gilt frame with scrolling acanthus leaf moulding and floral motifs. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.

- crackle to surface of piece; cracking and loss of gesso to surface of frame.
