An antique Danish 826 silver souvenir serving spoon. This spoon features a flat bowl depicting a building above a banner reading, ‘Villa Varnal’. The bowl is attached to a stem with a geometric design and a beaded finial. It is stamped on the back with the Simon Groth assayer mark, an unidentified maker’s mark of ‘S&JH’, and the Three Tower mark dating to 1802. The approximate weight for the single 826 silver spoon is 1.100 ozt. The lot also comes with an assortment of eight pieces of silver plate flatware, including maker’s such as Rogers Bros., Oneida, National Silver Co., Reed & Barton, International Silver Co., Wm. A. Rogers, and more.
