A hand-knotted Berber Boucherouite area rug. This shaggy, Moroccan tribal rug is made from repurposed strips of fabric. It features a checkered pattern of small squares in a wide ranging palette, including grays, taupe, crimson, royal blues, red, black and ivory. Most of the fabric used is monochromatic, but some is patterned. Fabric composition and textures are varied. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at one end with multi-colored wool warp fringe, while the other end has no fringe. Unlabeled.
