Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Sino-Persian carpet runner. This wool rug, attributed to Chinese weavers, features an allover design incorporating arabesqued flowers, leaves and vines over a rose-colored field. The palette is rose, gray, cream and sage with prominent black highlights. Framing the field are four borders, including a herati main border grounded in cream, featuring palmettes and vines. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short ivory kilim skirts and fine wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
